CNC Machinist

Salary: $36/hr to $42/hr / hr

Our client, a world class manufacturer in the south London area is looking for a CNC Machinist

Work Setting: Onsite

Location Details: London

Shift Schedule: Hiring for Day Shift (Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:15pm) and Afternoon Shift (Monday – Thursday, 3:00 pm – 1:30am)

 

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Machinist or Tool and Die Maker
  • 2-5 years of experience in a custom machining environment
  • Skilled in reading blueprints and sketches
  • Experienced in operating and programming 3/5 axis CNC machines
  • Familiar with SolidWorks, Mastercam, Edgecam, and AutoCAD software
  • Proficient with Okuma, Siemens, and Heidenhain CNC controls
  • Competent in CNC programming languages, including G-code and M-code

 

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a variety of equipment and tools for the creation and repair of tooling, such as grinders, welding machines, machining devices, and overhead cranes.
  • Prepare and set up raw materials or die sections in the machine.
  • Program and execute CNC code from CAD data using Mastercam.
  • Collaborate with CAD specialists and toolmakers to refurbish, enhance, and construct spare parts.
