Hiring for Day Shift (Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm), No Rotating Shifts!
Key Responsibilities:
- Build new tooling or fixtures from blueprints, CAD files, or verbal instructions.
- Operate tool room equipment: mills, lathes, surface grinders, saws, etc.
- Troubleshoot tooling failures and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Modify existing tooling to support engineering changes or quality improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and modifications.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production departments to support continuous improvement.
- Follow and promote all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of critical tool components and spare parts.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Tool & Die Maker (or equivalent experience with certification).
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in tool and die making in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
- Proficient in precision measurement and machining practices.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic press tooling and testing fixtures.
- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Assets:
- Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
- CNC programming experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of PLCs or automation troubleshooting.
