Stationary Building Maintenance Engineer 4th Class - Day shift

Reporting to the Manager of Fleet, Facility & Administration, the 4th Class Stationary Building Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for fulfilling the following duties:

• Inspects/maintains boiler system, heating and air conditioning systems, maintains major garage equipment such as hoists, fuel dispensers, brush wash washes, roof top HVAC, and undertakes minor repairs as required
• Daily inspection and maintenance of plant facilities and equipment
• General building maintenance including repairs to doors, walls, ceilings, furniture, washrooms, etc.
• Basic preventative maintenance to specified plant equipment
• Coordinates with outside contractors on projects as required
• Completing all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid 4th Class Stationary Engineer Certificate
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License in good standing
• Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on building maintenance experience, specifically involving natural-gas systems. Additional hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic repairs is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with health and safety practices
• Effective organizational and communication skills
• Electrical Experience is an preferred.

Pay: $34.28 - $42.85 per hour. Wage range for the position is commensurate with skills and experience and includes a comprehensive pension and benefits program.
