Our client in the Waterloo region is looking for a Strategy Manager-Project Office to join their team. You will be responsible for leading and creating the IT strategy and eventually the Enterprise Strategy to ensure quality solutions as well as meet business needs. You will be responsible for a Sr team of roughly 5+ people. You must have at least 5+ years leading a team of 5 individuals. You must also have 10-15 years of Strategic management experience along with excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
Along with working with all levels of the organization including the senior executive team, you will also be responsible for an in-depth analytical and strategic plan(s) to support IT and Business initiatives. You will also be responsible to develop, maintain and have a vision to future methodologies, tools, and templates to support strategic and implementation engagements from what you gather through experiences, best practices..etc
10-15 years of direct work experience in Strategic Management
5 years in a management role - managing a team of 5+
Excellent communication, interpersonal skill as well as strong leadership and facilitation skills.
Must have experience being a strong leader, as well have the proven ability to be a solutions oriented decision maker.
Strong business acumen required as well as awareness of technical trends
Results oriented, with strong research and fact-finding capabilities
Experience and ability to balance risk, cost and benefits
Architectural certification(s) ie: TOGAF
Experience working with research and advisory companies ie: Gartner
Previous experience with transformational process knowledge (i.e. transforming from a wholesaler to an integrated retailer)
ITIL certification and/or Lean Six Sigma certification an asset
