Job Description

Banh Mi Express (1-723 Richmond St., London, ON N6A 3H2) seeks Restaurant Manager to perform the following duties:

Order Management: Supervising the order-taking process to ensure accuracy and efficiency, especially coordinating between kitchen staff and front-of-house to manage online and phone orders.
Staff Supervision: Managing restaurant staff by scheduling shifts, overseeing training, and ensuring that all team members understand and fulfill their responsibilities.
Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies and ingredients, and handling stock organization to ensure the kitchen is well-equipped and operations run smoothly.
Quality Control: Ensuring that food preparation and presentation comply with the restaurant’s standards, including regular checks for consistency and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Financial Duties: Assisting with financial tasks such as overseeing cash handling while ensuring transactions are recorded accurately.
Delivery Coordination: Managing the logistics of delivery services, including the scheduling and routing of deliveries, and coordinating with delivery personnel to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Marketing and Promotion Support: Supporting marketing initiatives by helping prepare materials and promotions, particularly for takeout, pickup, and delivery services, without needing to engage directly in promotional conversations.
Problem Resolution: Addressing operational issues related to staff or service delivery, facilitating solutions, and implementing changes to prevent future problems.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of secondary school/high school diploma is required;
Minimum 3 years of work experience in the food service industry in a high volume restaurant that specialized in Vietnamese cuisine;
Minimum 6 months of performing supervisory duties in a high volume Vietnamese restaurant;
Proficiency and knowledge in Vietnamese cooking techniques and food safety regulations;
Strong leadership and communication skills;
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills;
Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards;
Able to multi-task and work in a high volume fast-paced team environment;
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills;
A passion for food and cooking to guarantee a high-quality experience for your customers;
Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility;
Must be mature, patient, professional, and have a growth mindset at all times;
Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Basic Proficiency in English.
Preferred Extras (not mandatory): Vietnamese language as most of our staff members speak Vietnamese

Permanent, Full time (44 hrs/wk) @ $36.07/hr. Work schedule varies: includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
