Job Description

Pay: $22.00-$28.00/hour

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our client's manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC machinery, with a strong understanding of Fanuc controls. This role involves producing high-quality components while following blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Shift Schedule

  • Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 4:30 PM – 2:30 AM; Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines according to blueprints, specifications, and production requirements.
  • Operate and make adjustments using Fanuc controls, including troubleshooting and correcting machine issues as required.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate machining processes.
  • Use CAD software and CNC programming knowledge to support machining operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning CNC machines and keeping equipment in proper working condition.
  • Use hand tools, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the production process to ensure finished components meet specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all workplace safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating and setting up CNC milling and lathe machines or similar CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience with Fanuc controls is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and CAD software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Experience using calipers and other precision measurement tools for quality control.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and machining calculations.
  • Hoist experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a Controlled Goods assessment and police background check.
