Job Description
Synergy was founded in 2005 with the vision to design, engineer, and manufacture high quality, made to order windows and doors. Our premium range of bespoke windows and doors covers everything from casement and sash windows to dual swing turn & tilt windows, bi-folding doors to lift & slide doors.
Position Overview
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the CAD Technician will be responsible for all facets of designing and detailing windows and doors to present to the customer as well as detail drawings for manufacturing.

Position Overview
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the CAD Technician will be responsible for all facets of designing and detailing windows and doors to present to the customer as well as detail drawings for manufacturing.

- Using CAD software prepare approval drawings for client sign off as well as create cut lists, and other detailed information for purchasing and manufacturing processes.
- Support our mill with tooling requirements – includes drawings and working directly with supplier to ensure accuracy of tooling / dies
- Provide support to sales and manufacturing teams
- Liaise with CAD team to ensure accuracy of drawings – attention to detail critical
- Proficient in use of CAD software; MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Minimum one year of CAD Drafting experience
- Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology diploma preferred
- Knowledge of the window and door industry an asset
- Familiarity with 3D design software is a strong asset
- Strong math skills including the ability to read dimensions both Imperial and Metric
- Ability to read and scale blueprints, cross sections and shop drawings a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels – management, team mates, customers
- Possesses exceptional organizational and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to work well independently or as part of a team
