Position Summary

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the overall supply chain strategy and execution across Starlim North America. The role ensures efficient planning, logistics, warehousing, and distribution of goods while maintaining high service levels and cost efficiency.

  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations which include packaging, logistics, warehousing, and distribution
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Planning teams to align supply, demand, and material availability
  • Optimize inventory levels, service performance, and supply chain costs
  • Implement best practices, processes, and performance metrics across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customs, and trade requirements

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing cost
  • Lead and supervise daily logistics operations , ensuring adherence to KPIs and service targets
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing team on sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and material availability to support operational requirements
  • Partner with the Planning team to align demand forecasts, production requirements, and inventory strategies
  • Oversee transportation strategy including carrier selection, routing, and freight cost optimization
  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance to develop cost-effective distribution solutions
  • Ability to fill in for Logistics staff and deliver customer service support and expertise when needed. Including but not limited to order processing, order dispatch, and packaging and warehouse duties.
  • Comply with and understand ISO regulations and related laws or regulations.
  • Manage cross-border logistics including:
    • Compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and trade agreements (e.g., USMCA/CUSMA, Incoterms)
    • Tariff classification, duty management, and cost mitigation strategies
    • Coordination with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure accurate and timely shipments
    • Monitoring regulatory changes and assessing operational and financial impact
  • Monitor inventory levels across all locations to optimize working capital and ensure proper material flow
  • Ensure warehouse operations meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards
  • Establish and maintain logistics and supply chain policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage invoicing, credit notes, and delivery backlog reporting
  • Oversee expedited freight and exception management
  • Ensure effective use and maintenance of ERP systems, including master data integrity
  • Track, analyze, and report KPIs with corrective actions where required
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Planning teams on raw material alignment, ensuring supply supports production and customer demand
  • Lead and manage team members, including:
  • Recruitment, onboarding, and training
  • Performance management and development planning
  • Coaching and continuous improvement of team capability
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, health & safety regulations, and internal policies
  • Support Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives throughout the facility, ensuring safety, housekeeping and quality standards are maintained

 

Do you have?

  • University degree in a related field (Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent)
  • 3-5 years of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management experience
  • ERP Experience is mandatory, minimum 3 years
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
  • Understand the application of WHMIS and the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and how it relates to daily operations
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Customs regulations and cross-border trade compliance
    • Tariff structures and duty management
    • Incoterms and freight terms
