We are seeking an experienced Programmer to join our team at a busy aluminum foundry and manufacturing facility in London, Ontario. This role is ideal for a hands-on automation professional who enjoys troubleshooting, improving processes, and supporting production in a fast-paced industrial environment. Pay: $60,000-$80,000/year Shift: Day Shift Position Summary Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Programmer will develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial automation and control systems to support safe, efficient, and reliable foundry operations. Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, and maintain PLC and HMI programs Troubleshoot and resolve automation, controls, and production equipment issues Program and support Allen-Bradley systems including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PanelView, and FactoryTalk platforms Support equipment upgrades, process improvements, and automation projects Work closely with maintenance and production teams to maximize uptime and productivity Maintain program documentation, backups, and technical records Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company procedures Qualifications Diploma or degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field Minimum 3 years of industrial programming experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Automation software is required Experience with Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, HMIs, industrial networking, VFDs, and instrumentation Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience in a foundry, metals manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment is considered a strong asset WHY YOU'LL WANT TO APPLY WITH IS2: IS2 works for you.
