Senior Tool and Die Maker
Express Employment Professionals are recruiting for a Tool and Die Maker with 5-10 Years’ Experience in the Automotive Industry including prior experience in tool engineering, tool design, and tool purchasing to facilitate production and/or procurement of tooling. The ideal candidate would posses PHS Knowledge and / or Hot Stamping Experience, Cold Stamping will be considered.Salary: $80,000 - $110,000.00 Inclusive of overtime; negotiable

- Computer proficiency with CAD Software in either: Solidworks or Catia and AutoCAD
- Grade 12 Education or Equivalency is required and must be able to show proof
- PHS knowledge and experience is the ideal experience (Hot Stamping)
- Licensed tool and Die Maker with 5+ Years experience within Automotive Industry
- Work with CAD Software such as: Solidworks, Catia, AutoCAD
- Create / maintain engineering drawings and documentation
- Work with program / product team to obtain vendor tooling estimates to fit project budget and timing objectives
- Organize and lead cross-functional team meetings to review design, process and build of tooling
- Review vendor timelines to ensure objectives are met
- Interpret engineering drawings, component prints and assembly and part/product drawings
- Perform calculations for tool and die process
- Evaluate tooling orders, vendor design for sign off
- Inspect test and analyze new prototype and redesigned tools and dies for conformance to customer specs
- Work with tooling contractors, machine shops and specialty services to develop tool and product prototypes
- Work with the quality department to complete PPAP documentation
- Develop work orders, manuals and performance specs to determine manufacturing procedures
- Test functional performance of tooling and parts
- Create tooling purchase orders
- Continuously identify process risks per design and process FMEA’s for defined requirements and implement process controls
- Provide problem identification and resolution assistance to plant
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities within the Engineering department as required
- Approximately 14wks per year in 2-week intervals travel required Internationally
