A high school diploma as well as a Certificate or Diploma in a related field such as: Instrumentation and Control Technician/ Electromechanical Technician/Electromechanical Engineering Technology.

• Build, service, maintain, repair, install and test new or existing common controls and sensors including PLCs, HMIs, machine controls and robotic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair I/O logic circuits and devices, including mechanical, infrared, laser, and inductive sensors, hydraulic systems.
• Build, troubleshoot, and repair electrical panels utilizing relay and programmable logic circuitry.
• Write programs for PLC logic and/or robot controllers and make modifications as the process requires.
• Experience with Ethernet communications, wireless networking and PLC networking an asset
• Working knowledge of Dassault Systems Draft sight or like Software such as AutoCAD.
• Maintain plant controls systems by updating documentation and keeping current backups of all machine control systems.
• Ability to read Electrical diagrams.
• To repair and troubleshoot equipment and machinery efficiently, safely and in accordance with the plant standards.
• Design electrical circuits and PLC programs for machines.
• Work on projects and improvements.
• Experience with Omron and Allen Bradley control equipment an asset
• Experience with Omron CX-ONE and Sysmac Studio an asset
• Experience with Allen Bradley Logix500 and Studio 5000 an asset
• Experience or exposure to programing Industrial Robots an asset
• Experience or exposure to programing Collaborative Robots an asset
• Comprehension and Use of basic hand and power tools a necessity.
