Mechanical General Assemblers - Multiple Openings

Key Job Elements:

• Install, align, and securely fasten vehicle components, including powerpacks, axles, suspension systems, steering assemblies, and other related systems.
• Route, secure, and connect electrical wiring harnesses, control panels, and junction boxes according to electrical schematics.
• Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts and other special tools and test equipment, to position and install components.
• Use calibrated torque wrenches, pneumatic impact guns, and specialized fasteners to meet strict engineering specifications.
• Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits on Light Armoured Vehicles
• Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
• Prepare input for various management and log reports
• Provide accurate time reporting data to assist in monitoring and tracking project budgets and project status

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in mechanics or assembly is a plus
• 1-3 years relevant experience
• Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and produce high-quality work
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and lift objects as needed
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions, and perform physical tasks – i.e. lifting, climbing
• Ability to drive a Fork Truck and operate Portable Cranes and other material handling equipment
• Must be able to work in a Swing Shift Operation

Preferred Qualifications:

• More than 2 years of mechanical assembly experience in heavy manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or agricultural equipment industries
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fitment issues common to specialized, highly customized environments
