Salary: $43.85

Position Summary
The Tool Maker is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, and holding devices used within the manufacturing process. This role supports production and maintenance operations through precision machining, troubleshooting, and tooling improvements while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
The Tool Maker works closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to support operational efficiency, tooling reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
At our company, we are looking for exceptional individuals who can meet the following criteria:
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Make decisions based on measurable information and technical specifications
- Follow instructions and maintain precise tolerances
- Safely operate lift trucks, hoists, and power tools
- Lift material and stand for extended periods while working with heavy machinery
Education & Experience
- Education:
- High school diploma required
- Completion of Tool & Die (C of Q)
- Successful completion of apprenticeship
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years as a Tool Maker or Maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge

Knowledge of tool making, machining, and manufacturing processes

Understanding of blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and technical drawings

Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques

Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and procedures

Understanding of CNC machining, heat treating, and metal fabrication processes
Skills
- Strong precision machining and fabrication skills
- Proficiency operating CNC machines, lathes, grinders, saws, mills, and related equipment
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Outlook
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
