Craigwood Youth Services is a fully accredited not-for-profit children’s mental health centre providing a variety of innovative youth serving programs with locations in London and Ailsa Craig.   London is a designated area in Ontario under the French Language Services Act; bilingual candidates are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Male Bona Fide Night Child and Youth Worker - 24 hour/week contract
 
We are seeking a qualified Male Night Child and Youth Worker to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team at our residential facility in Ailsa Craig.   You will be responsible for the support, safety and security of the youth in our care.  Some of your duties will include menu and food preparation; minor maintenance; clerical and cleaning tasks.  You are responsible for ensuring that preparatory and organizational tasks are completed to assist with the smooth functioning of the program during other shifts.  This is an ‘awake’ position.  The hourly rate is $16.75.  The rotating schedule for this position involves both week and weekends (11:30 pm to 7:30 am).  Due to compliance requirements for this location, this position is male bona fide.

The following is required from the successful candidates:
 
  • Post-secondary education in the human service field or equivalent in education & experience
  • Current Police Records Check & Vulnerable Position Screening, Health Assessment  
  • A valid full ‘G’ class Ontario driver’s license, current Driver’s Abstract and your own reliable transportation  (shifts are at our Ailsa Craig campus)
  • Red Cross Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate  
  • If successful you must be available to complete mandatory agency training as well as unit orientations.
