Job Description

OSG is looking for a Part Time Shipping Assistant to join our team in London, ON.

The Shipping Assistant will ensure products and learning materials from our various business groups are shipped accurately, on-time and as cost effectively as possible while meeting delivery service level agreements. They will also work alongside the Client Success Specialist team to handle returns and shipping inquiries. The logistics assistant will be responsible for inventory management and receiving deliveries. 

This is a part-time (24 hours per week on average), in-office role with the requirement to work day shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays - schedule flexibility is a possibility based on preferences. Our compensation range is $15-$16/hour.

Our office is located at 3330 Dingman Drive in London. 

What will you do in this role?

  • Generating shipping labels, and prepare and pack shipments for product sales, training and course materials 
  • Generate shipping reports and provide to necessary parties
  • Receiving shipments for return products and course materials, inventory deliveries and regular mail 
  • Inventory Management including bi-weekly inventory reports for product and training materials
  • Ordering new products, materials and packing materials as needed based on inventory counts
  • Print course content as required 
  • Ensure working areas are kept neat and tidy
  • Monitor Amazon product inventories, shipping errors, corrections and ship international orders as necessary
  • Transport products between Gainsborough location and Dingman office as necessary
  • Personally deliver course materials when required
  • Communicate with shipping carriers (Canada Post, Couriers Plus, etc.) to manage pick-ups
  • Facilitating and scheduling customer pickups

What can you bring to the table?

  • High School Diploma 
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Previous work experience in a shipping/receiving department an asset
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
  • Salesforce and ShipStation familiarity will be beneficial, but will be taught
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repetitively
