Buckle Up! Voyago is Spare Hiring School Bus Drivers in St. Thomas!

Your role:

• Safely transport students within your community to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day
• Prioritize student safety at all times, including during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assisting with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well kept, professional vehicle
• Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the safe operation of the vehicle
• Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations
• Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers

Requirements

Your profile:

• You are safety focused
• You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license for at least 1 year (Preference will be given to E or B class drivers)
• You are 21 years of age or over.
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening
• You have a sound knowledge of London Region and surrounding areas
• You have the ability to work independently
• You are available for the required shifts: Monday - Friday between 6am - 9:30am and 1pm - 4:30pm (Start and end times will vary depening on the specific detials of each route)
• You possess solid communication skills

Your location:

• The main office and all training is done in London at 573 Admiral Court. St. Thomas drivers will begin or end their routes in St. Thomas or surrounding area.
• Where space permits, drivers may take their vehicle home and begin their route directly from their driveway. For those who do not have space, we have several park-out locations throughout the city.

Hourly Rates:

We offer competitive hourly pay depending on the size of vehicle you're driving:

• Big Yellow, Mini-Yellow, or Wheelchair-Accessible Routes – $21.84/hour
• Minivan Routes – $20.96/hour
• Base Rate (for time spent working but not driving a route) – $19.76/hour
