Job Description
Chlesea Green is hiring for the position of Centre Supervisor for our non-profit licensed,inclusive and diverse chidcare program. The Centre Supervisor will be responsible for the general day to day operations of the childcare centre under the direction of the Executive Director. 32 staff and 114 children.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Staff mentoring,supervision and motivation
Providing daily classroom support to implement How Does Learning Happen?
To demonstrate strong problem solving skills including handling emergencies and difficult behaviour
To be flexible and versatile while maintianing efficiency and effectiveness
Facilitate monthly staff and team meetings
Ensure Ministry of Ontario licensing requirements and regulations are met or exceeded daily
Maintain strict confidentiality
Qualifications
Must be a Registered Early Childhood Educator (Diploma or Degree) -please do not apply if you do not have this qualification
Must be in good standing with the College of ECE
Must have minimum 2 years supervisory experieince in centre based environment with 5 years as an ECE in a classroom.
Must have working knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act,2014 and How Does Learning Happen.
Ability to work independently and as a team
Strong team skills/problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills
Effective oral and written communication
Ability to speak in front of a group
Able to prioritize and be organized.
Able to offer excellent compassionate and empathetic customer service
Must have current First Aid standard and level C CPR
Current clear Vulnerable Sector screen
Up to date immunization
Competitive salary (based on experience) and benefits provided to the successful candidate.
Hours of work are 8-4:30 with 1 hour unpaid lunch.
