Labatt Breweries of Canada is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician for our London Brewery
Reporting to the Quality Resource Manager, you will be responsible for working with production personnel to provide quality assurance; ensure HACCP standards are maintained; coordinate and lead quality improvement projects; analyze micro, packaging and analytical results, follow up on appropriate actions and finalize reports; participate in calibration program of control equipment; and comply with environmental, health and safety policies.
As the ideal candidate, you are a well organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, you are computer literate and have a science degree complemented by at least 2 years lab experience. Brewery experience, micro experience or a food science background would be an asset.

The successful applicant will be assessed to determine their ability to acquire the necessary technical expertise, management, and leadership skills to progress through various Production Management roles in the future. Required to work evenings (and weekends when necessary).

- A University Degree in Science (Food Science preferred)
- A minimum of 2 years lab experience
- Experience in microbiology & yeast management, an asset
- Knowledge of quality assurance audits
- Knowledge of quality improvement testing
- Troubleshoot experience
- Knowledge of computers is essential (Excel, Word, Exchange, QC Databases)
- Taste-testing in a responsible manner
- Equipment cleaning, maintenance & calibration
- Bilingual French, an asset
