Salary Range: $65.19 - $76.69 /hour
This exciting leadership position is responsible for the day-to-day operation and the coordination of services of the Operating Room with a focus on minimally invasive ambulatory surgery. Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the Coordinator utilizes clinical leadership skills to ensure quality patient care through the planning and coordination of human and physical resources. An established professional, you will act as a coach, facilitator, teacher and provide leadership to support the continuous development of the team. You possess highly developed leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and are known as an innovator, enabler and systems thinker. Guided by our mission, vision and values, we rely on your change management, consensus-building and conflict resolution skills as you ensure the service needs of the patients and customers.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Valid Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of 3-5 years recent operating room experience and knowledge of operating room clinical systems and processes
- Minimum of three years leadership experience in a unionized environment
- Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Demonstrated clinical leadership, team development, and facilitation skills
- Evidence of ongoing relevant professional development
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate evidence into practice
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience with participation and support of research
- Experience with program development and program evaluation
- In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong Leadership capabilities including, Lead Self; Engage Others; Achieve Results; Develop Coalition; System Transformation
- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- Master's degree in a health-related field
- Experience in budget development and the management of fiscal resources
- Experience in performance management, conflict resolution and attendance management
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
