We are currently seeking a Greenhouse Supervisor to join our team.
Job Description/Responsibilities
- Coach, guide and work with Team Leads to achieve planning rates and quality production goals
- Teach and track workflow based on established company methods and practices, ensuring Team Leads understand their duties or tasks
- Monitor productivity, efficiency and performance of a team of Team Leads by providing constructive feedback and supporting Team Leads decisions
- Enforce safe and healthy work practices, quality, legal regulations and promote positive work environment
- Lead teamwork and motivate Team Leads through ongoing communication of mutual expectations and recognize outstanding performance
- Coordinate work activities with Workforce Planner, Supervisors, Team Leads, teams and other departments
- Participate and provide ideas related to quality, morale and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Perform other tasks as may be assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Completion of high-school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write and speak English. Demonstrated ability to operate various types of equipment
- One-year work experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor
- 1-year experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead
- First aid certification is considered an asset
- Good communication, relationship building, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a team setting maintaining endurance over extended periods
- Must have reliable transportation;
Physical Location/Working Conditions
- Greenhouse environment in rural area
- Repetitive tasks, combination of standing, bending, walking, crouching
- 30 – 55 hours per week, shifts may vary between day and evening
Wage
- $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
