Agilus is seeking a Lab Design Technologistin London, ON, for our client, a leading multinational corporation operating in the fields of industrial, worker safety, health care, transportation and consumer goods.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, the successful candidate will provide technical support across various program deliverables including design, testing & validation, documentation focused in automotive.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate strong design skills with understanding of how to scale up concepts through to launch
• Prepare CAD data packages using Solidworks,
• Management and communication of CAD files, 2D drawings, and other specifications where applicable
• Prototyping, 3D printing, and hands on skills essential to the role.
• Quality principles and validation knowledge an asset to support robustness of designs and processes
• Prove to be self-motivated and team oriented
• Creative problem solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Eager to learn

Qualifications:

• 2-5 year of mechanical/manufacturing engineering and design experience
• Strong proficiency in 2&3D CAD modeling; Solid works is preferred
• Strong hands on skills using a variety of standard tools as well as prototyping equipment (3D printing, metalworking, component assembly etc.)
• Must have excellent work habits with a commitment to safety, procedures and accuracy
• Good knowledge of MS Word & Excel
• Automotive experience highly valued in this role
