Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive material accurately and promptly, verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list
• Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items appropriately, report/record all discrepancies
• Accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner
• Enter quantity received against the purchase order in the warehouse management system and print back order and inventory stock put away list
• Attach identifying tags/labels to materials, boxes, skids or other containers
• Pick order tickets and process them by completing any required paperwork, locating items in the warehouse
• Use RF scanners to ensure that all orders and inventory are accurately tracked
• Review all orders to ensure that they’re not damaged or missing any parts, package them according to specifications
• Pack orders and prepare shipping documentation
• Track all orders, packaging, and shipping in order to ensure inventory is accurately recorded
• Light manufacturing duties
• Accurately identify and count stock materials as listed on cycle count lists
• Ensure warehouse/equipment is maintained on a regular basis, address maintenance issues
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks – will lift and move boxes weighing in excess of 40 lbs
• Day shift – hours to vary depending on warehouse scheduling

Skills and Qualifications:

• Be able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code
• Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked
• Basic math skills and reasoning skills
• Ability to understand and execute instructions
• Ability to operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices
• 2-3 years of warehouse and distribution experience
• Counterbalance, order picker and reach truck certification is preferred
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
• High school diploma or GED required
