Position Summary:
Reporting to the Business Manager, and in collaboration with the parish office staff, the Cemetery Grounds Keeper maintains the grounds and equipment of the cemetery, makes preparations for burials and interments.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Layout graves for interment, prepare site for interment ceremonies and assist with closing graves following interment.
- Maintain all on site equipment, including the performance of regular oil changes, greasing of equipment, and completing minor repairs as required.
- Maintain the cemetery grounds. This may include lawn maintenance, tree trimming, filling in sunken graves, levelling upright and flat memorials, wreath removal, snow removal, etc.
- Layout new lots for future sales; including making cement lot markers and installing them.
- Install flat memorials when required.
- Purchase required supplies and repair parts.
- Work collaboratively with trades, cemetery, and church office staff.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Current and valid Class G driver’s license.
- Prior experience and ability to operate zero-turn riding lawnmower and snow-plow truck.
- Strong time management skills.
- Positively self motivated with a strong ability to properly prioritize work needs.
- Must have reliable transportation.
