Job Description
Drake International is looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our clients site. This is a contract role with a Post Secondary School located in London. You will be integral to the success of their Finance Team.
This position will range from Part time (24 hours) to Full time hours during peak season. Candidates should be willing and able to work part time and full time when required. This role is also a hybrid remote & in office role as required.
The following responsibilities & qualifications are necessary:
- Accounting processes require to reconcile the payables sub ledger;
- Creates journal entries;
- Transmits e-cheques bank files;
- Processes bank payment files electronically to bank while maintaining internal controls over accounts payables
- Entering and processing invoices into the accounting system
- Receiving and processing credit card expense forms from employees business expenses
- Processing cheque and electronic funds transfer payments
- Reconciling ledgers
- Process bank payment files and accounts payable duties.
What we need from you:
- Post-secondary 3 year diploma/degree in Accounting
- Minimum 3 years accounting and payables experience
- team player in a service oriented office environment using an enterprise software system and a variety of computer software packages such as spreadsheets and word processing commensurate with a medium to large-sized public sector organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Wage - $26. 84/hr
