Job Description
IS2 St. Thomas is looking to hire CNC Operators, to join our client’s team on the afternoon shift on a full-time, permanent basis with start dates as soon as possible!
Workdays/Hours: Monday - Thursday 3PM-1:30AM OR Friday-Sunday 3-12 hour shifts
Wage: TBD Based on skills/certifications/experience

Education And Experience:
- Five plus years of programming experience using MasterCAM, DDX or similar software
- Five plus years of experience operating and setting up CNC Router machines
- Previous forklift certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program is required
- Completion of post-secondary education in CNC Programming or equivalent experience / training
- Under general direction, responsible for preparation of drawings and G-code within DDX software
- Evaluate program blueprints to outline machine operations and dimensions
- Carryout maintenance measures to ensure good condition of machines, Create tool paths for CNC router
- Control offcuts to minimize raw material waste.
- Alert supervisor/maintenance of any safety, quality, maintenance, or production concerns related to equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
- Physically load/unload product onto equipment or trucks.
- Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the production order to ensure equipment loading is complete and correct.
- Detail oriented, both in paperwork and computer-generated drawings
- Experience using AutoCad or other CAD software
- Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills
- Able to operate basic computer functions including software programs and applications
- Proficient with carpentry and woodworking tools
- Conducts themselves in a professional manner when receiving or giving feedback/information, whether it is positive or constructive
- Strong ability to lead, coach, and drive a team to succeed
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
