Job Description
TransForm Automotive a Tier 1 & 2 automotive supplier is seeking to fill an immediate opening for the position of HR Generalist. The position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Main Duties / Responsibilities
· Responsible for the overall function of payroll including data collection, processing, reporting, file set up / maintenance / record retention, and provide payroll compliance/legislation knowledge
· Responsible for the department’s HRIS spreadsheet / data base requirements including but not limited to general employee information tracking, time / attendance / E-leave and vacation entitlement tracking
· Champion of Policy Development for compliance (inclusive of records administration and retention)
· Administration of all safety / environmental / health training records, update and maintain all in-house training presentations, tests, and associated forms / trackers
· Statistical reporting, tracking, updating of all health, safety, and environmental records (ADP People @ Work), provide reports, administration of open door reports, monthly inspections, champion CAR closure, integration of TFAL & TFAS systems
· Auditing ISO / TS, 5S/EOW program maintenance for HR Dept
· MOE – HWIN, Air Quality, Testing Req’ts, First Aid Program, and all other legislative compliance
· Safety / Environmental alerts, liaison with management / employees on all health, safety, environmental, ergonomic concerns for closure, processes, procedures
· Develop in-house or external training resources/sources, conduct training or deliver presentations relating to health, safety, environmental
· Administer health programs – hearing conservation, health promotion program,
· Requisitioning, sourcing, and follow up of all required safety / environmental program purchases, services, and check book costs for same
· Management Co-Chair JHSC, Excellence in Mfg Safety Consortium Group champion, WSIB Best In Class meetings
· WSIB – disability management, modified work program, early / safe return program
· Maintain MSDS binders / indexing (including outside emergency services manual), expiry review,
· Ensure compliance to HS&E regulations for inspections, drills, re-certifications, etc.
· Responsible to perform other reasonable duties as required or requested by Human Resources Manager
· Conduct all work activities in a professional / team / service oriented manner
· Support company operational visions, values, and goals
· Complete work assignments with accuracy, sense of urgency, and in a safe manner in accordance with established standards, and all applicable Regulations / Legislation
· Participate in company programs as required or requested including but not limited to 5S, Elimination of Waste, communication meetings, training, etc.
Education / Skills / Experience
· Completion of high school plus post secondary certificate program in human resources or health & safety required
· Minimum 1-2 years related experience in payroll administration
· Proficiency in ADP Payroll & People At Work Software considered a definite asset
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
· Excellent communication skills (verbal / written)
