Job Description
Pay: $90,000-$135,000/year
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager to lead the clients company's safety initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role will manage and oversee all HSE systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining superior standards across all divisions, and supporting the company's commitment to safety.
Pay: $90,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of HSE Coordinators across multiple business divisions.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, WSIB requirements, COR certification standards, ISO 14001, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee audits, inspections, incident investigations, hazard assessments, and corrective action programs.
- Partner with operational leaders to integrate safety and environmental priorities into project planning and execution.
- Analyze HSE performance metrics and implement proactive strategies to improve results.
- Lead the development and delivery of training programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Manage documentation, reporting systems, and key performance indicators related to safety, environmental, and quality performance.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to executive leadership on HSE trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Champion a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive HSE experience, including at least 3 years within the construction industry.
- CRSP or CSP designation strongly preferred.
- NCSO certification considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of OHSA, WSIB, COR certification, ISO 14001 standards, and construction safety practices.
- Experience managing audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance programs.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and their integration with HSE programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HSE management software platforms.
