The Elgin Middlesex Oxford Workforce Planning and Development Board (WPB) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Coordinator & Communications Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to support local workforce development through project management, research, and communications initiatives.

- Position Type: Part-time (21 hours/week)
- Compensation: $23.50-24.50/hour including health benefits
- Work Schedule: Hybrid (2 days in-office, 1 day remote)
- Location: 2544 Advanced Ave, London ON
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Laptop provided

Responsibilities
As Project Coordinator, you will contribute to impactful workforce initiatives by:
- Coordinating project planning and execution, including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement.
- Supporting research activities such as literature reviews, surveys, and data collection/analysis.
- Assisting with employer and jobseeker outreach initiatives.
- Reporting on project progress, identifying challenges, and collaborating on solutions.
- Representing WPB at community events and meetings across the region.
- Creating templates for projects and promoting content through social media, newsletters, reports, presentations, and media releases.
- Develop and maintain the social media accounts for the WPDB ensuring that there are regular releases of information through social media.
Skills and Qualifications

- Project Coordination: Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Research & Analysis: Comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Communications: Clear writing skills and experience with social media, newsletters, or promotional materials.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with a variety of community stakeholders.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in Office 365, Zoom, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Self-Motivated: Can work independently and meet deadlines.
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle for local travel (London, and Elgin, Middlesex, and Oxford counties).
