Accountabilities/Duties/Responsibilities of the Controller:
- Advise management on cost issues and identifies solutions
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Prepare budget quarterly forecasts
- Analysis of operating results verses the budget and forecast
- Complete feasibility studies both long term and short term
- Assist Engineering with quoting costs
- Analyze quoting packages and proposals for accuracy and probability
- Maintain project budget and ensure accurate tracking of expenses and billing
- Gap analysis between billing and revenue, feed back to project manager and Customer
- Payroll – Hourly, Salary, Source deductions, T4’s
- Manage Cash flow
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and provide them with required information
- Other duties and projects as required by your Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of automotive experience
- Minimum 5 year of previous experience in accounting supervisory or controllership role
- A college or university degree in Cost Accounting, CMA, or CGA
- Exceptional computer skills including data entry competency and experience with accounting software (e.g., ERP)
- Strong customer service orientation
Total Compensation Package:
- $27-$30/hr depending on experience
- Temporary contract position
