In support of the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital (TDMH), the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation assists in building a healthy community by raising funds for new and replacement equipment, facility upgrades, and to support special projects for the Hospital. In partnership with Prime Management Group Inc., the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation is recruiting for a visionary, strategic, and highly collaborative Executive Director to develop, lead and execute their critical fundraising programs, while continuing to build effective, value-added relationships with all key external donors and stakeholders, including the Investment Portfolio Management Team.

Under the Board’s direction, the Executive Director will develop, coordinate, implement, and monitor the organization’s short and long-term strategic fundraising plan and budget, including direct mail, planned giving, major gift solicitation, annual giving, and special events. The Executive Director will effectively engage internal teams and external stakeholders while implementing fundraising programs with enthusiasm, integrity, and sensitivity in alignment with the Foundation’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

An inspiring communicator, the Executive Director will represent and promote the Foundation with professionalism and passion to strengthen the organization’s community profile. As a primary resource of the Board, Campaign Chairpersons, and sub committees, the Executive Director will participate in monthly meetings, preparing and distributing the agenda, meeting notes, financial statements and minutes, status reports, and communication follow up activities to effectively navigate strategic initiatives.

To qualify for this opportunity, the successful candidate must have at least 5-7 years of proven fundraising leadership, and strategic planning experience, coupled with a University Degree or Diploma in a related field. Experience working within a hospital/healthcare setting or fundraising environment will be a definite asset. As a highly collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented leader, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of organizing fundraising endeavours including capital campaigns, special events, and the cultivation and closing of major gifts as well as experience monitoring an investment portfolio. Experience working with a Board of Directors to implement strategies and initiatives to improve overall operations will be critical.   

Additionally, the successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills to build and sustain viable and engaging relationships with key stakeholders and community partners for the benefit of the Foundation. This leader will bring knowledge and experience in marketing strategies and techniques to promote a positive public image. Previous experience with budget preparation, fiscal management, and financial reporting will be highly desirable. A strong understanding of governance best practices and experience working with a Board of Directors will be pivotal to this position’s success.
