Our client a well-known Consulting firm in London Ontario is searching for an Intermediate-level Civil Designer/Drafter in the London (or Kitchener) office. The successful candidate will provide design and drafting assistance to the engineers and other staff on Land Development, Transportation, and Municipal Infrastructure engineering projects using Civil3D. This position will provide the candidate with experience working on a variety of technical projects with exposure to all stages of a project from conception through construction.

What does an average day look like for you:

·        Preparing detailed Civil 3D models

·        Preparing plan, profile, section and earthworks drawings

·        Proactive advancement of design and modelling techniques

·        Coordination of design and drawings with other team members and consultants

·        Occasional site work as required

·        Progressive design lead responsibilities

·        Provide training and support for junior staff as necessary

Skills/ Qualifications:

·        Civil Engineering Technology Diploma program or equivalent

·        3-5years experience in subdivision and site plan Land Development, transportation and municipal infrastructure within Ontario or Canada.

·        Knowledge and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and AutoDesk Civil 3D

·        ExcellentCivil3D drafting skills

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

·        Ability to work both independently with little supervision and in a team environment

·        Eligibility for registration with OACETT (C.Tech or C.E.T.)

·        Excellent initiative and problem-solving skills
