Job Summary:

This student will work to increase Nokee Kwe’s community presence, assist to establish Nokee Kwe as a leader in program delivery, promote social inclusion, reconciliation, and reduce prejudice and racism in our community.

This is a Canada Summer Jobs Funded Position for a period of 16-weeks @ 37.5 hours/week.  Rate of pay is $14.25/hour.
 
Eligible Students must be:
(a) between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
(b) a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and
(c) legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.

*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.


 
Essential Job Functions:

Reporting to the marketing Committee, they will:
  • promote Nokee Kwe programs and services to targeted audiences through social media, news media, newsletters, special events, Nokee Kwe’s website, and print material
  • assist with social media campaigns and other events
  • help create strong, brand-infused copy to reinforce the mission and vision
  • help create standardized scripts
  • employ writing and editing skills
  • quantify and analyze campaign results and make recommendations on ways to improve or increase the success of marketing efforts
  • contribute to innovative marketing campaigns
  • create weekly reports
Educational and Experiential Requirements:

Post-Secondary graduate and/or current student in one of the following programs:
  • Marketing/Advertising
  • Business
