As we continue to grow, we have a need for the following position:

Position: Overnight Camp Staff

Start Date: Varied from beginning of May - end of June.

Qualifications & Experience:

• National Lifeguarding
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR
• Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check is a condition of employment for all staff and volunteers.
• Preferred Applicants: Fun and responsible individuals looking to focus on the needs of campers. Experience working with youth in a camp or outdoor education environment
• It is a YMCA of Southwestern Ontario requirement that all employees and volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Exemptions will be granted upon receipt of acceptable proof of a permissible Human Rights Code ground


Compensation/Benefits:

• Vacation entitlement in accordance with the employment standards regulations


Schedule:

These positions are seasonal contracts and the successful candidates are required to live on site in camp accommodations for the duration of their contracts. Time off will be scheduled each session based on site location as noted below. Staff are required to provide their own transportation to and from camp.

YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth (CQE) is a seasonal summer camp and outdoor center located in Georgian Bay Islands National Park on Beausoleil Island just outside of Honey Harbour, Ontario. The successful candidate is required to live on site at CQE in rustic cabin accommodations. Time off will be scheduled each session with staff receiving the equivalent of one day off per week.
