What will you do as a Software Architect at MCCG?
At MCCG, being a software architect means just that…you will be responsible for the overall software architecture!  As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with other talented members of our team in order to envision new and exciting market-leading solutions as well as help to support, maintain and enhance a large/complex enterprise solution.  You will have the opportunity to participate throughout the Software Development Lifecycle in order to maintain and enhance an overall solution environment that will provide strategic value to the organization.  This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks and develop your skills in many ways.

Requirements of the Software Architect:

• A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and/or experience;
• A Minimum of 10 years’ work related experience;
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
• A demonstrated familiarity with current software industry trends and technologies;
• Strong analysis and design skills;
• Proven diagnostic, analytical, problem solving skills, and attention to detail;
• Participate with the various stakeholders in order to establish and maintain the architectural vision for the MCCG solution offerings;
• Participate with the various stakeholders in order to establish and ensure that the technology/solution standards are implemented.

Preferred Knowledge of the Software Architect:
Core Skills:

• Experience in establishing an overall solution architecture that aligns with business goals and objectives;
• Ability to design, document and maintain a comprehensive solution architecture plan;
• Experience in the Software Development Lifecycle;
• Experience in enterprise solution architecture, design patterns and Web Services;
• Understanding of non-functional, functional and the technical components of a solution;
• Knowledge of Object Oriented and functional paradigms;
• Relational database experience (current Oracle release preferred);
• Knowledge of software testing strategies;
• Agile experience;
• Application Server experience, especially JBoss/Wildfly;
• Deployments targeting Windows/Red Hat operating systems.

Web Skills:

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries, especially AngularJS;
• HTML5/CSS3, especially Bootstrap and Responsive Design techniques;
• Tools:  Node.js/NPM/Yeoman/Bower/Gulp/Less.
