Skills and Technical Experience:
- Work with architecture team to define product architecture, design patterns, implementation methods and best practices for the development team
- Work with business and architecture teams to review story backlogs in Jira, including product, technical and non-functional requirements
- Identify technical risks and mitigation approaches
- Through design reviews and code reviews, work with development team to ensure product code conforms with the architecture and is adequately tested to ensure acceptable quality
- As a member of the development team, implement product features from the backlog
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members
General Experience:
- Proven “hands on” experience as a development leader within a team
- Minimum 7 years programming experience with Javascript, Python, Java etc., for Angular Single Page Applications, Microservices and RESTful APIs in a SaaS/Cloud environment
- Practical AWS experience is highly desirable
- Agile SDLC experience in a DevOps environment with a track record delivering platform services on time and on budget.
- Strong experience in software security practices and OWASP
- Ability to create solid working relationships with all stakeholders and decision makers within the corporation
- Experience in data engineering, management, and analytics platforms is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
- Cultural fit: team player, professional maturity and discretion (patent pending technology, NDA required), self-sufficiency, able to learn quickly in highly technical environment
- Experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, BioTech etc. industries is a plus
Education:
- BS. Computer Science or equivalent experience
