Requirements
- Valid 4th Class Stationary Engineer Certificate
- Valid Ontario Driver's License in good standing
- Grade 12 Education or Equivalent (This document must meet the criteria for acceptable proof of Grade 12 or the equivalent)
- Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on building maintenance experience preferred; additional hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing and hydraulic repairs are strong assets
- Familiarity with health and safety practices
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Electrical experience is an asset
Job Description
- Inspect/maintain boiler system, heating and air conditioning systems, and maintain major garage equipment such as hoists, fuel dispensers, brush washes, and roof top HVAC, undertaking minor repairs as required
- Perform daily inspection and maintenance of plant facilities and equipment
- Complete general building maintenance including repairs to doors, walls, ceilings, furniture, washrooms, etc.
- Carry out basic preventative maintenance to specified plant equipment
- Coordinate with outside contractors on projects as required
- Complete other duties as assigned

If a records check reveals a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted, the candidate will not proceed in the selection process for further assessment. Police Information Checks cannot be older than 14 days upon submission.
