Job Description

RedIron Technologies is seeking a development team lead for our Java-based tech stacks and products. This role will act as both a senior developer and team lead for resources located in London (Ontario), India and parts of the USA. Ideal candidates have leadership experience as well as a deep working knowledge of Java and Oracle tools and products.

Key responsibilities

• Designing, estimating, coding and testing client/server based applications
• Problem solving code level and configuration issues
• Interacting with clients and leading development teams
• Participating in design sessions and code reviews
• Assisting in technical architecture based on business requirements
• Preparing developer and deployment documentation for application components

The ideal candidate will have

• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Leadership of 7 or more team members
• 5+ years of experience

Qualifications

Required skills:

• Team leadership, working with remote resources or offshore teams
• Java EE 7/8
• Maven or Ant
• Git
• Linux (Red Hat)
• Oracle WebLogic, Tomcat, or JBoss experience
• Oracle DB (12c preferred) and/or Postgres or equivalent SQL database

Additional information

We are seeking candidates who can start with us as early as possible in January 2020. Candidates must be able to work out of our London Ontario Office. RedIron requires a 40 hour work week but we can be flexible about where or when some of those hours are achieved. Our employee benefits package will take effect after a 90 day probation period.
