Welding and Fabrication Project Coordinator

Pay: $28.00-$32.00/hour

Ideal Candidate: Someone who understands welding, fabrication, and manufacturing environments. You take ownership of projects, communicate effectively with customers and the shop floor, stay organized, and ensure projects move from concept to completion independently.

Location: Woodstock, ON

Compensation: $28-$32/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage custom projects from customer requirements through production.
  • Create manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Track project progress, communicate updates, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Support quoting, material planning, and cost calculations.
  • Support weld shop drawing questions, fit-up issues, weld procedures, and quality issues.
  • Design simple fixtures, templates, and process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the shop.
  • Provide technical support to fabrication and welding teams.
  • Conduct occasional customer site visits as required.

Requirements

  • Post secondary education related to job.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in project coordination or project management within manufacturing industry.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in custom manufacturing, fabrication, or welding environments.
  • Advanced AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, forming, fit-up, and cutting processes.
  • Experience preparing BOMs, manufacturing documentation, and costing information.
  • Experience working directly with customers and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
