CAREER OPPORTUNITY WITH LONDON BRIDGE CHILD CARE SERVICES
Position: Permanent Full Time Pedagogical Lead
Location: Rowntree Early Childhood Learning Centre, 712 Whetter Ave, London ON, N6C 2H2
Schedule: 40 hours per week; during hours of operation - 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Start Date: September 7, 2026

London Bridge Child Care Services is a non-profit umbrella organization comprised of 17 licensed child care centres in London, Sarnia, Dorchester, and Huron County. We provide loving, individualized care and education for children ages 0-12 years in group care settings. We are currently seeking a Pedagogical Lead to join the Rowntree team. The successful candidate would be part of a co-leadership team. Rowntree is licensed for 106 children. You as the Pedagogical leader, will collaborate to cultivate a culture grounded in care and curiosity for all members of the centre community. Guided by London Bridge's pedagogical orientations, you will jointly shape decision-making processes and amplify the vision and values of the organization. Together, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the centre and for actively contributing to the organization's ongoing evolution. As integral members of the leadership team, you will share collective and individual responsibilities across various domains.
You will be responsible for the following duties:
- Works with organization and co-lead to support and implement organizational on-boarding
- Supervise, mentor and support educators through collaboration, side by side interactions and working with pedagogical plans
- Models and nurtures reflective practice, promoting critical thinking, engaging with and inspiring others, promoting the building of community, and fostering creative learning environments
- Responsible for planning, implementing and evolving regular pedagogical meetings (ie, book studies, team meeting, and PED talks etc)
- Strong understanding of pedagogical theories, curriculum design, pedagogical documentation, educational research, and best practices
- Models and nurtures reflective practice, promoting critical thinking, engaging with and inspiring others, promoting
the building of pedagogy and operations.
- Participating in leadership meetings, leadership development, and organizational initiatives.
- In partnership with the Centre Operations Lead to facilitate the referral process for children or families who require
services from outside agencies
- Works in collaboration with the Centre Operational Lead to respond to parent questions, comments, and concerns
in a timely and professional manner

About You:
- Minimum 2 (two) years of work experience in a licensed child care organization required
- Minimum 1 (one) year of experience in a leadership position is considered to be an asset
- Post-Secondary Education of Early Childhood Education diploma required
- Registration "In Good Standing" with the (CECE) College of Early Childhood Educators required
- Demonstrates collaboration and critical thinking skills
- Ability to address culture competence and diversity with others
- Demonstrates understanding of CCEYA and Ministry of Education licensing requirements is a an asset
- Ability to respond to emergency situations in a professional manner
