At LHSC's Regional Renal Program, you can expect to receive comprehensive care. This care extends to all people living in Southwestern Ontario with kidney disease. Our program strives to embody the mission statement of the Ontario Renal Network: Working together to improve the life of every person with kidney disease.
Care includes working together with patients and their care partners to slow the progression of chronic kidney disease, thereby delaying the need for dialysis.
When kidney replacement therapy becomes necessary, we provide support around treatment choice, including:
Approximately 1100 chronic kidney disease (pre-dialysis) patients and 850 end stage kidney disease (on dialysis) patients are currently cared for by many teams in this program.
Job Summary
What the Role Is
Reporting to the Director, Regional Renal Program, the Manager, Renal Program directs, controls and evaluates the delivery of department services. They are responsible for translating decisions of the program leadership into execution, by utilizing relationship management and working with internal and external partners to achieve the necessary outcomes. The Manager ensures their team and department operations are aligned with our mission, vision and values, while working together to successfully achieve our strategic objectives.
This role is accountable for day-to-day department activities, including the management of human and material resources, day-to-day staffing and scheduling, development and support of a healthy workplace, risk and utilization measurements, and facilitation of improvement initiatives and change management, while operating within approved operational budgets and financial guidelines and controls. A major focus of the role is fostering effective working relationships and networks within the team/unit and with other teams across the organization.
