Machinist/Assembler (located in Strathroy)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Machinist/Assembler to join our dynamic team in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment at our Strathroy location. Autotube is a Tier 1 fluid transfer component manufacturing company, trusted by the automotive industry for almost 50 years.

Hiring for Day Shift (Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm), No Rotating Shifts!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble machines and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Build new tooling or fixtures from blueprints, CAD files, or verbal instructions.
  • Operate tool room equipment: mills, lathes, surface grinders, saws, etc.
  • Troubleshoot tooling failures and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in machinery commissioning, debugging, and adjustments.
  • Modify existing tooling to support engineering changes or quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production departments to support continuous improvement.
  • Follow and promote all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of critical tool components and spare parts.

Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience working with a CNC Mill and Lathe.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Familiar with precision measurement and machining practices (Calipers, micrometers, etc)
  • Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Assets:
  • Experience in manufacturing or continuous improvement.
  • CNC programming experience.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs or automation troubleshooting.
