Location: London, Ontario
Employment Group: Faculty
Type of Position: This is a temporary part-time faculty position (up to 21 hours per week) starting October 7, 2020 and ending December 24, 2020. Generally, 3 days per week with the possibility of some evening work.
Closing Date: October 1, 2020
Duties: Reporting to the Manager, Personal Counselling, the incumbent is responsible for providing personal counselling to current College students.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology or a related discipline required, including a supervised clinical internship
- Minimum 3 years experience providing clinical counselling required, including demonstrated skills and knowledge of short-term counselling techniques, crisis assessment and intervention, and ability to provide psychoeducational group programming related to mindfulness, distress tolerance, and self-care
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
- Preference for experience in counselling students with personal and mental health issues in a post-secondary environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills required
- Strong commitment and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and in accordance with all legal and ethical requirements
- Must understand the strengths and challenges of adults with disabilities and have knowledge of social constructs and cultural views of mental health disability
