Position Summary:
 
Media Sonar is expanding our sales team as our business is growing quickly. We are looking for proven Sale Account Executives to help drive this growth. You must be a high-energy person that as driven to close deals. You must be a creative, achievement-oriented, self-starter who is passionate about social media, public safety and thrives in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for a defined territory and quota achievement. Immersive product and industry training will be provided.
 
The position could require light travel for tradeshows and other related activities, and reports directly to the SVP of Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Primary focus is to drive the sales cycle from opportunity to close.
  • Meet or exceed all quarterly and annual sales objectives.
  • Create and drive revenue within a specified region.
  • Maintain all activities and information in SugarCRM.
  • Contribute to business planning with accurate account and opportunity forecasting.
  • Promote the brand and culture of Media Sonar across the industry through all customer touch points.
  • Work with Product Management and Product Development as it relates to product, industry, and competitive information learned during your work.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Minimum of 2 years of software, technology, or related sales experience with proven results.
  • University or College degree with demonstrated excellence in your field of study. Computer Science, business or communications background would be ideal.
  • Significant knowledge and background in the Social Media space.
  • Superior written and verbal communication with excellent formal presentation skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as SugarCRM desirable.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, retain flexibility and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Proven experience in maintaining project schedules, documentation, communications, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in the law enforcement industry an asset.
  • Energy and creativity a must.
  • Due to the nature of our industry, you will be asked to submit to a police background check and associated confidentiality agreement.
