Gains exposure performing a variety of custodial duties to maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
Supports full time custodial staff while they are performing yearly floor care, including sweeping, polishing, stripping and waxing floors. Cleans and sanitizes walls, partitions, fixtures, and furniture, and empties waste and recycling receptacles.
Cleans washrooms and ensures supplies are available.
Assists with moving furniture and supplies as required.
Assists with cleaning the exterior of City facilities and grounds, ensuring that the grounds are clean and litter free, including disposing of dead birds and small animals, as required.
Supports fulltime custodians performing sets up and tears down furniture and equipment in training, committee, meeting rooms and lobby areas for various functions.
Performs related duties as required.
