Software Developer

Software Developer – London, Ontario

Day to Day Responsibilities:

You will be part of a collaborative team consisting of designers, developers and product managers contributing to the ongoing development, testing, real time monitoring and continuous improvement of multi (global) location technology testing systems.

As a Software Developer, you understand the performance impact of clean code, multi-threading, good UI design and scalability that can function with no down time. Some responsibilities will be:

• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design architecture.
• Participate in weekly stand-up progress meeting with company coworkers and client teams.
• Perform test driven development, ensuring coding standards are followed, looking for logic errors and other bugs.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of test applications.

• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and system stability.
• Perform debugging and troubleshooting to resolve issues across the stack quickly.
• Maintain and enhance existing codebases, ensuring they stay up-to-date with modern practices and technologies.

• Participate in code reviews to share knowledge and uphold coding standards.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and suggest ways to incorporate them into our development practices.
• Contribute to improving team workflows, tools, and processes for greater efficiency.

• 4+ year(s) of relevant working experience
• Experience with languages but not limited to, C#, SQL. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Angular, PowerShell, and XAML.
• Work in the .NET stack; .NET, .NET Core, Entity Framework, WPF.
• Familiar with system and technologies: Windows, Linux, MSSQL, Visual Studio, Docker, Git, WebSocket, GitHub, and Jira.
• Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, ES6, jQuery) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js, Vue.js) and general knowledge of UI/UX design.
• Experience with SQL database design, optimization and writing queries. 
• Web services, REST APIs, object-oriented design, unit testing, optimization and multithreaded programming
