We are currently looking for a professional, safety-focused mechanic to join our team at a full-service, modern maintenance and repair facility.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of our experienced maintenance team, the successful candidate will help service and repair a fleet of over 800 vehicles , including school buses, minivans, minibuses, wheelchair-accessible vehicles, and trucks. Langs is also expanding into electric vehicle technology, and training will be provided to support our growing EV fleet.
This is a hands-on role in a modern, multi-bay shop , working as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities include:

Performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections on vehicles and equipment

Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues using vehicle onboard computers and diagnostic software

Responding to on-road breakdowns as required

Completing and documenting repairs noted in Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)

Ordering parts and logging repair details accurately using fleet maintenance software
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
-
Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience

310T Truck and Coach certification (preferred) or registered apprentice

310S Automotive Service Technician license is an asset
-
Experience with diagnostic tools and software (e.g. Cummins INSITE, Allison DOC, Diamond Logic, Meritor WABCO, Cetaris) is an asset

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Basic computer proficiency

Solid communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Clean driver’s abstract and ability to pass a criminal record check

Must have basic personal tools suitable for the trade
