Job Description
On behalf of our client a fabricator or outdoor materials located here in London, we are looking for a Logistics Coordinator. This position does require some manual labour and so you must be comfortable lifting part of the day.
This position will organize freight and logistics both domestic and international shipments. You will deal with importing and exporting of materials related to projects and be familiar with all things, related to freight management.
In collaboration with the Project, Sales and Plant managers you will coordinate upcoming shipments and receive packages from local and international carriers, keeping track of inventory received and deal with issues to expedite timely service to the clients.

What you do:
- Notify all managers of deliveries incoming and outgoing on the warehouse.
- Getting quotes for domestic and international freights, negotiating best pricing.
- Prepare import and customs paperwork in a orderly and timely manner.
- Complete bill of lading and estimate value of goods for shipping, US Performa invoice, steel, aluminum license shipping into the US.
- Collaborate with brokerage companies to revise content/qualities to resolve issues with receiving and purchasing companies IRS numbers.
- Maintain and organize freight e-mail and shared drive to maximize efficiencies as well as maintain SOP for quote requests.
Who you are:
- Completion of 2-year logistics related program.
- 2-5 years’ experience in similar role.
- Excellent communication skills as this position will require you to communicate verbally with clients and customers daily.
