Job Description

POSITION:

DIETARY PLANNER
Monday through Friday
Various Children’s Centres throughout London
6.5 to 8 Hours per day, which includes a half hour unpaid break

QUALIFICATIONS:

Safe Food Handling Certification
Understanding of Canada’s Food Guide
Minimum two years’ experience in food preparation for children from 18 months to 4 years of age preferred
Standard First Aid with CPR for Infant and Child – Level C
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (6 months current)

SKILLS:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work creatively within a limited budget
Ability to work effectively as a team member

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

To plan well balanced menus on a rotational basis
To purchase food supplies to meet the needs of the menus
To maintain accurate purchasing records
To prepare and serve nutritious and delicious meals and snacks
To maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times
To liaise with Dietary Planners in other Children’s Centres within LCC
To maintain professionalism, confidentiality and courtesy at all times
