Job Description
Purpose of Position
Project Management role for multiple projects, fully developed Project Management skills with minimal oversight on daily work. The Project Manager C manages revenue projects through Trojan’s project life cycle, including technical specification review, costing, scope of supply, risk assessment and management and issue resolution with customer to project close-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Plans multiple projects with internal and external parties including scope, timeline and cost
- Provides technical support to sales and external consultants during feasibility phase of a project
- Reviews and comments on contract specifications during the design phase of the project
- Develops scopes of supply based on system design, configuration and costing for integration of Trojan equipment
- Reviews and approve municipal purchase orders
- Checks and approves engineered submittals prior to sending to Contractor/Engineer, ensuring compliance with agreed to requirements
- Interfaces with Engineers and Contractors during submittal review phase
- Maintains project variable contribution margins through effective change management
- Provides support to the Municipal Territory Representative and Trojan Service representatives during start-up and commissioning.
- Assists in planning and collecting project payment
- Assist in writing and maintaining generic sales documents (i.e. sales specifications, drawings, brochures, etc.)
- Maintain project portfolio through Project Watch (delivery, revenue)
- Apply problem solving skills to drive continuous improvement for our customers, shareholders and associates
Background and Skill
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline (Engineering or Technical discipline would be an asset)
- 1-3 years previous project management experience
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Self-motivated individual able to multi-task
- Ability to manage concurrent and highly conflicting priorities
- Demonstrates the ability to manage unstructured, complex tasks
- Possess effective negotiation skills and the ability to successfully persuade others
- Demonstrates ability to actively drive team objectives and initiatives
