We currently have a need for the following position:

Position/Term: HFA Centre Manager

Start Date: April 2, 2024

Salary: $50,000 - $52,000

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Qualifications & Experience:

• University degree or completion of College diploma in a related field
• 3-5 years’ experience in a mid-management position in a results-oriented role overseeing membership, program, and volunteer development
• YMCA experience is preferred but related work considered
• Skills in Human Resources Management, Health, Fitness and Aquatics membership and program delivery, as well as financial management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional people skills; comfortable working with and among diverse groups of people; able to work effectively independently, as well as within a team setting
• Computer knowledge in MS Office using Word and Excel
• Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Position Screen is a condition of employment for all staff and volunteers
• It is a YMCA of Southwestern Ontario requirement that all employees and volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Exemptions will be granted upon receipt of acceptable proof of a permissible Human Rights Code ground. This requirement has been suspended effective June 30, 2022. It may be reinstated in future should the state of public health in our communities require it.

Compensation/Benefits:

• Salary commensurate with experience

• Vacation entitlement in accordance with the employment standards regulations
• May be entitled to up to 12 paid personal days – applicable with position and contract length

Responsibilities:
• Adhere to YMCA of Southwestern Ontario policy and procedures
• Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating YMCA core values in your daily work
• Provides overall branch leadership; responsible for the development/implementation of operational plans and the Association’s Human Resource Policies and Procedures
• Responsible for membership engagement
• Accountable for achieving operational goals through financial management of the branch
• Accountable for the development and implementation of tactical plans for the branch including budgets, staff and volunteers, quality assurance, asset management, positioning, Member Engagement and Philanthropy
